Job Description

Are you a talented singer looking for an opportunity to grow and perform? Would you like to audition to become one of our 4 choral scholars for September 2024? The scholarships are designed for aspiring professional singers who wish to develop their ensemble singing and sight reading and broaden their knowledge of choral repertoire. Scholars will take an active role in both rehearsals and concerts as well as contributing to the active social life of the choir. The scholarships are open to singers aged 18-30 or students in full or part time music education.

What we offer:

  • Annual stipend of £1,200
  • Opportunities for step out solos in main concerts
  • Opportunities for conducting and leadership development
  • One 1-1 and one group coaching session each term with Music Director Harry Bradford and Accompanist James Orford

What we are looking for:

  • Dedicated singers with a passion for music
  • Strong musical ability and musicality
  • Willingness to learn and grow as part of a vibrant musical community

Our commitment to you:

  • Opportunities for solo and ensemble performances with a scholars' recital each term (proceeds from 2 go to scholars)

Auditions will take place on Saturday 8th June at St Margaret's Church, Putney, London SW15 5HU. Rehearsals Tuesday evenings.

Please send CV and covering letter highlighting your suitability, current studies or work and future ambitions. Applications open until midnight 1st June. Successful applicants will be expected to prepare two pieces of repertoire for audition on Saturday 8th June.
