We are looking for fixed-term Customer Services Assistants (CSA) to work in our bar and cinema for the duration of Sheffield DocFest 2024.

Required to work during Sheffield DocFest 2024

Fixed-Term Contract

Shifts to be worked from Wednesday 12th to Monday 17th June 2024, plus training session in the week before the festival starts.

Rate of pay: £8.60 per hour, or NLW (currently £11.44 per hour), if applicable (aged 21 and over)

We are looking for fixed-term Customer Services Assistants (CSA) to work in our bar and cinema for the duration of Sheffield DocFest 2024. Duties will include checking admission tickets, escorting customers to their seats and ensuring that no unauthorised person is admitted to the auditorium and selling and serving food and drink in the bar, on the barbeque or in the deli area in the Work Station, specifically created for the Festival.

Successful applicants must be available to work shifts between Wednesday 12th to Monday 17th June 2024. Shifts will be for approximately 8 hours and you will be rota'd to work between 8am and 10pm.

Experience is an advantage but not essential - we're looking for staff with great people skills, a can-do attitude and with a passion for excellent service.

Job Requirements

  1. Ability to work in a confident, courteous, and friendly manner in all aspects of the role - with colleagues and members of the public.
  2. Understanding of the importance of being a good timekeeper
  3. Good listening skills and clear communicator
  4. A commitment to equality and diversity.
  5. The flexibility to work within a shift system including daytime, evening and weekend work.
  6. A flexible can-do approach to work.
  7. Experience of working in a public venue and dealing with the public.
  8. Must be honest and reliable.
  9. Good personal presentation.

Job Responsibilities

The role of the Customer Services Assistant is in the frontline in providing the best experience for visitors to bar, cinema and conferencing facilities.

They will provide an efficient, friendly and knowledgeable service for all visitors to the Showroom.

They will anticipate and be responsive to customer needs, taking general responsibility for the safety, satisfaction and comfort of all visitors to the venue.

All post-holders will be required to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis as required.
