Full Time 35 hours/week (a 4 day week would be considered);

Salary: circa £31,000 p.a. + 12.5% pension contribution + other benefits;

Location: Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, Perry Green, Much Hadham, Herts. Some hybrid homeworking may be requested.

The Henry Moore Foundation, established by one of the greatest sculptors of the twentieth century, presents Moore's work at his former home and studios in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, near Bishop's Stortford, and provides a centre for the study of sculpture at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds.

We are looking to appoint a personable, highly organised professional assistant to support the COO across a range of PA, administrative, financial, legal and HR functions. The post-holder will also work closely with the HR Manager.

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience as an Executive/Personal Assistant or in a pivotal clerical/administrative role working at a senior level, ideally in a cultural or charitable environment. Exceptional organisational and communication skills, as well as a high level of attention to detail and a 'can do' attitude are essential for this role. Experience of minute-taking is required alongside absolute discretion and good humour.

Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience as an Executive/Personal Assistant or in an administrative role working at senior level [E]

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide PA and executive support to the COO including email monitoring and prioritising, diary management, arranging travel and accommodation, processing expenses, filing, keeping contact details up to date, etc.
  • Coordinate Trustee Board and sub-committee meetings.
  • Assist with the recruitment of new trustees.
  • Support the staff team at both sites with any HR enquiries.
  • Assist with employee recruitment and development including all pre-employment checks.
  • Assist with the monthly payroll processing.
  • Develop and implement a volunteer recruitment strategy.
  • Assist with project management of capital projects.
  • Handle all tenancy administration.
  • Provide short term cover for Reception.
