Description
Generation 21 is SAA-uk's paid, 2 year programme. Designed for passionate individuals aged 16-30 from global majority backgrounds, two successful candidates will be given the opportunity to specialise in marketing or producing.
The two years of this traineeship programme will include:
- Formal training and support. This includes safeguarding training to regular sessions with a personal mentor
- Independent learning. This will include reflective journaling and research tasks relating to the placement experience
- Advanced training and in-house practical experience in project management or marketing and communications
- Placement with West Yorkshire-based performing arts organisations to work on a specific project or set of projects identified collaboratively
Essential
- Aged 16 - 30, from a Global majority background
- Based in Leeds/West Yorkshire, or willing to relocate for the 2 years of the training
- Passionate about arts and culture with a vision for its future impact in the North and the UK
- Committed to a full 2-year programme. This will also require a commitment to yearly placements
- Able to manage multiple priorities to a high standard of organisation and efficiency
- Self-starting and pro-active in their approach to work
- Committed to the principles of equality, diversity, anti-racism and environmental sustainability
