About the Role:

As the Academic Administration Team Leader, you will be the campus lead for the Academic Services Department, ensuring exceptional academic and administrative support for students and lecturers. This is a pivotal role where you will oversee the smooth running of key processes such as student data management, assessment administration, and compliance, ensuring a fantastic academic experience for all. You will lead and manage a team, ensuring the campus has a strong and effective Academic Services provision.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage the Academic Administration team, ensuring that the department is well-represented on campus.
  • Oversee the input, management, and reporting of key student data, including assessment data, to support university-level reporting.
  • Communicate assessment outcomes to students in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage local attendance monitoring processes and produce attendance data for reporting.
  • Oversee the implementation of campus-level processes relating to Quality Assurance and Enhancement, Immigration and Compliance, and Regulatory Returns.
  • Ensure that student records comply with data protection and statutory requirements, adhering to quality assurance processes.
  • Provide high-quality advice and guidance to staff and students regarding academic regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the work of academic committees and boards, providing key administrative assistance.
  • Deputise for the Head of Student Data and Assessment Administration when required.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in a busy exams and assessment department, with sound knowledge of assessment requirements in higher education.
  • Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel, with experience using Student Records Systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Experience gathering, analysing, and presenting data, with high levels of attention to detail.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • A proactive approach in recommending and implementing policy changes where required.
