Actor/Singer Needed for Schools and Nursery Christmas Tour, Bigfoot Arts Education

We are recruiting for an energetic and talented performer to entertain 2-4 year old children across the capital this Christmas, by performing as 'Effie the Elf' in our tour of 'The Greediest Christmas Elf'

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong acting and voice skills
• Has a natural inclination for comedy and physical theatre
• Is available for all rehearsal and performance dates
• Has experience of performing to large groups of children, ideally within primary school settings
• Has bags of energy, enthusiasm and a big personality
• Has a good rapport with children
• Has a driving license and use of a car (desirable, rather than essential)
• Is able to carry a large suitcase of props and costumes with them to each performance
• Loves Christmas as much as we do!

IMPORTANT DATES:

Auditions: Wednesday 23 October AM Only

Rehearsals: Monday 18 and Friday 22 November

Dress Rehearsal: Monday 25 OR Tuesday 26 November

Tour: Monday 2 - Friday 20 December

Auditions and rehearsals will take place in Clapham, SW London.

FEES:

£130 rehearsal fee

1-2 shows in the same school: £100

The show is 40 minutes long and you will typically perform 2 or 3 shows per day (two shows in one school, with a single performance in a second school), so you should typically expect to earn £200 on most days, although there will be some days with just 1 show and at the very start of the tour possibly no shows at all, depending on bookings (we have always sold out our tours in previous years, but it is not possible to predict with complete certainty).

CASTING PROCESS

First Round: Video Audition - deadline for submission, Wednesday 16 October

Second Round: Live Audition in Clapham , SW London on Wednesday 23 October with members of the current team.
