Description
ArtFlicks offers emerging artists £1,000 bursaries to create and distribute original digital content designed for social media platforms.
Through online workshops and 1-2-1 sessions, young creatives aged 18-24 (or 18-30 with an EHCP) are given training, support and £1,000 for production costs to create original artistic work that appeals to wide digital audiences.
We're looking for pitches showcasing four 90sec creative pieces that celebrate your chosen artform and explore themes that are important to young people today - this could include identity, mental health and wellbeing, environmental issues, faith but could also be about anything else that important to you.
How it works
- To apply, you must be either 18-24 or 18-30 if you have an EHCP
- Pitch your ideas by 15th November 2024. You can tell us about your idea in whatever way is easiest for you.
- You will be notified if you've been chosen by Monday 25th November 2024
- You will need to attend 4 online workshops during December. Tuesday 3rd, Thursday 5th, Tuesday 10th and Thursday 12th at 7pm. These will be 1-1.5hrs in length and can be rescheduled/rearranged to suit you.
- You can then start to create your work and will be offered 1-2-1 support sessions from our creative experts
- Deliver the first cut of your films by 31st Jan 2025. Please note: these will be first drafts and will not need to be perfect! We will work collaboratively with you to help produce work you are proud of.
- Work on your edits/notes and deliver the final films by 14th Feb 2025
- We will distribute your films and showcase you and your work via our Artflicks TikTok channel, which consistantly ammasses over 20k views
