Factory Settings Ltd is a leading supplier of specialist design interpretation, fabrication and fit-out, primarily serving clients in the arts and heritage sectors. Our clients include The British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, The Science Museum and the Design Museum, to name a few.
The Assistant Project Manager provides support to the projects team ensuring the smooth running of projects. Including, but not limited to, gathering costs and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors; ordering materials, arranging transport, organising documents for the return of tenders; and supporting the wider team on aspects relevant to projects.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Ability to pick up new skills and company processes quickly
Calmness under pressure - quickly deciding task priority and acting with confidence upon those decisions.
Multi-tasking skills - there will be several live projects at any one time, plus several projects under development - these will all need to be attended to in an organised manner.
Computer literacy (we use Dropbox, MS Office, InDesign, Smartsheets, Xero, Google Drive and Gmail.)
You should be able to work well with your fellow colleagues but also be capable of pushing things forward yourself and using your initiative.
Interest in museums and cultural events (prior knowledge of major London museums would be an advantage.)
Contract: Full time
Working hours: 08:00-17:00 with 30minute lunch break.
Annual Leave: 28 days including Bank Holidays. We close between Christmas & New Year allowing employees additional paid leave.
