About the role
Working within a dynamic curatorial team, you will support the research and development of the Science Museum’s temporary exhibitions, revealing inspiring stories from the history of science through to contemporary scientific culture and practice.
You will support all aspects of content production, for example, researching and selecting objects, securing loans, writing texts. Your responsibilities will include working with a wide range of internal colleagues, such as Interpretation, Development and Collections Services, and with external partners including museums, lenders and academics, to foster knowledge and share research into objects and stories which will inspire our visitors.
Joining us you will have an interest in science and a desire to communicate your knowledge and share collections with audiences through world-class exhibitions. You will have experience of working with museum objects and object loans in addition to experience of carrying out robust and high-quality research using varied resources.
You will have a proven interest in communicating ideas, developing narratives and writing texts about objects to engage diverse audiences. Crucially for this role, you will have excellent attention to detail and communication skills coupled with the ability to work as part of a busy team and experience of building relationships with colleagues internally and external stakeholders.
