Join the biggest immersive production in London at a key time of expansion and help us shape the future of the production. The Cast Lead will be the primary manager for all performers, organizing schedules, managing auditions and rehearsals, and taking part in each performance as a swing character.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Cast Lead will be responsible for leading and motivating our cast of performers, as well as maintaining the integrity of the performance. The position reports directly to the Venue Manager and Experience Director.
Duties include:
- Managing the cast, including recruiting, scheduling, and onboarding.
- Assisting in show preparation in collaboration with Stage Manager, Costume Department, and Venue Manager to ensure the orderly and timely opening of the show.
- Maintaining the integrity of the performance throughout the run by acting as a swing character and observing actor interactions, providing notes where necessary.
- Organizing and managing rehearsals and auditions in collaboration with the Experience Director.
- Assisting in casting decisions in collaboration with the Experience Director
- Maintaining the integrity of the set and cast areas in collaboration with the Venue Manager and Stage Manager
- Acting as the first point of contact for all cast concerns, signposting and managing where necessary to resolve conflicts.
- Attending regular head of department meetings to discuss show operations and plan future improvements.
- Ordering additional cast and show supplies as needed
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including producers, directors, venue manager, and cast members.
- Step into any performing role where necessary.
Skills Required
- Strong leadership qualities
- Proven experience in similar arts management environments
- Acting and/or Resident Directing experience
- Proven management experience, including scheduling and other admin duties
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to make quick decisions and problem-solve under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
Salary: £16 p/h, 30 hours minimum per week
