Description
The Creative Director will have a strategic voice in driving creative and cultural opportunities/experiences, including identifying and securing partnerships and collaboration opportunities to strengthen underserved communities (with focus on the Black Country and surrounding areas).
Culture and Creative Leadership
- To collaborate as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and board of directors to drive Arts Council England's Investment Principles/Outcomes & Let's Create Strategy (including other governing/arms length organisations
- To become one of our Ambition and Quality champions as part of our Investment Principles.
- To co-devise, develop and implement the organisation's ambitious business plan alongside the SLT, Board of Directors (BOD) and the wider PbC team in it's short, mid- and long-term strategic plans/priorities.
- To advocate our artistic/creative vision and model is recognised and embedded within the organisation and externally across multiple sectors (culture, creative industries, education and youth) within local communities.
Finance, Fundraising and Governance
- As part of the SLT prepare and oversee the business plan and annual budget for approval by the BOD and report any changes to the finances/budget that impact the organisation's projects, services and future plans.
- To support the design and development of diversifying our income generation through, donations, fundraising applications, responsive proposals and submissions for external tendering processes to advance new/existing work of the organisation.
- To ensure PbC follows good personnel practice by implementing and reviewing policies & procedures in compliance with the law and best practice.
Communication & Advocacy
- To enhance positive relationships with funders, partners and key stakeholders to ensure the organisations' work and impact is being communicated effectively and efficiently with sector professional/partners and governing arm length bodies (Arts Council England, The National Lottery Community Fund and Sports England).
- To oversee an innovative look and approach to new and emerging media for artistic and creative expression, developing PbC's digital, online and virtual content.
