Curriculum Team Leader - Art, Design & Textiles, BRADFORD COLLEGE

Job Description

Due to department expansion, we are looking for a Curriculum Team Leader to join our passionate School of Art to manage our Art, Design and Textiles areas.

The successful candidate will deliver an outstanding student experience, as you support students in developing their knowledge and skills and prepare them to contribute to the modern world of work. You will work closely with the Head of Department (HOD), the Curriculum Area Manager and the Delivery and Development Manager in the School of Art as a critical element in the Leadership and Management Team ensuring the courses you are responsible for are high quality, efficient and effective.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week.

Job Requirements

Education & Training

  • Degree-level qualification in Art and Design
  • A teaching Qualification
  • GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
  • GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

Experience

  • Experienced Programme Leader, Co-Ordination and/or Management Role and or responsibilities within FE or HE.
  • Leading partnership work with external stakeholders to deliver projects.
  • Experience in financial management budget control and contract negotiation

Job Responsibilities

  • To manage the effectiveness of staff and courses as specified by HOD
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of staff interventions related to progress in learning, engagement, attendance and achievement
  • To manage the effectiveness of staff and courses as specified by HOD
  • To deliver high learning value, financially efficient programmes (including physical resource management) and to lead on innovation and efficiency in the delivery of learning
  • To drive improvements in colleagues Learning, Teaching and Assessment practice, working proactively and collaboratively with your LTAQ partners
  • To be responsible for student's academic progress, wellbeing, positive behaviour and careers and pastoral guidance throughout their learning journey
  • To actively seek out and respond to the student voice - seeing students as primary stakeholders in their learning
  • To manage the enrolment, monitoring, initial skills profiling and assessment of students
