Job Summary

Responsible for securing and managing international productions of Arcola Theatre’s shows, along with securing fundraising and international corporate sponsorships that will support both in-house and international productions financially.

Job Description

As we continue to grow our reach and impact globally, we are seeking an experienced Development and International Distribution Manager to lead our fundraising initiatives, and drive international productions of Arcola shows. This is a pivotal position, contributing to Arcola's mission to extend its reach globally and make our productions accessible to audiences around the world.

Developing International Partnerships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international venues and organisations, representing Arcola's brand with professionalism and respect at all times.
  • Market Arcola productions, securing and contracting international productions and tours.

Fundraising

  • Be responsible for securing corporate sponsorship and financial partnerships to support in-house and international productions.
  • Develop and manage relationships with potential funders and sponsors, aligning their goals with Arcola's vision.
  • Take the lead in raising funds and preparing sponsorship proposals.
  • Represent Arcola at industry events and networking opportunities to foster new fundraising and sponsorship leads.
  • Organise and produce gala fundraising events.

International Producing

  • Manage and oversee contracting, administrative, and logistical elements of each international production and tour to ensure smooth operations.
  • Act as the primary contact for international creatives and venues, managing communications regarding contracts, fees, travel, visas, and accommodation.
  • Oversee budgets and monitor expenses for international productions and international tours.
  • Ensure all international productions operate within budget, providing regular financial updates to the senior artistic leadership.
  • Support Arcola's commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion, actively promoting these values in all international operations and partnerships.

Job Requirements

Who We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Producer with a strong background in international touring, ideally within the theatre or performing arts sector.
  • Experience with fundraising and raising corporate sponsorship of £200,000 - £300,000 annually is highly desirable.
  • Ability to deliver and meet targets with regard to finding corporate sponsorship.
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple productions and partnerships simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
    Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with creatives, venues, funders, and sponsors.
  • Comfortable with budgeting and financial administration, including handling invoices, per diems, and expense tracking.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and unexpected challenges, maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure.
