Development Officer, Warwickshire County Council

Heritage & Culture Warwickshire

Development Officer

£29,577 – £32,234 pro-rata, 3 days per week, permanent

Heritage & Culture Warwickshire (HCW) manages the Museum, Arts and Archive service for Warwickshire, working across 4 main sites and with partners and organisations across the county. We care for our museum objects and archives, engaging visitors and participants through exhibitions, events and outreach programmes whilst working strategically with partners to develop the heritage and cultural infrastructure of the county.

We are now recruiting for the role of Development Officer. In this role you will work collaboratively to support development projects and programmes across all areas of HCW service delivery. You will lead HCW’s fundraising programme and ensure HCW maintains its high-quality brand.

Joining us, you are comfortable communicating with a wide range of individuals and organisations and working collaboratively with people from a range of professional specialisms. A good project manager, you work to get the best out of your team and are willing to roll your sleeves up and support customer facing events when required. You will have experience of developing and delivering successful fundraising programmes, ideally incorporating a range of income streams including grants and sponsorship income. You may not have worked in the heritage or arts sector previously, but bring transferable skills which will add value to our small, creative team.

Working for Warwickshire County Council, you will be part of a supportive team with opportunity for training/personal development. WCC offer flexible working to ensure a work/life balance, alongside a generous holiday allowance, pension and enhanced support packages.

The post is offered on a permanent basis, 3 days per week (22.2 hours), with working pattern to be negotiated/offered on a flexible basis. The main base for this role is Warwick.
