Description
You will be working with the Marketing and Communications Manager to deliver 1-54’s marketing and communication strategies across multiple, primarily digital, platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Social media
- Develop social media strategy and concept with the Marketing and Communications Manager
- General management and content creation on all social media accounts in line with general comms strategy
- Drive social engagement across all social channels and measure success against key performance indicators
- Maintain interaction with followers
- Keep abreast of current contemporary African art affairs
- Newsletters
- Organise, schedule, produce and send newsletters via Artogic
- Coordinatemailing lists and contacts via Artlogic
- Website &App
- Create original content for website: articles, interviews,videos
- Launch and coordinate uploads on the 1-54 online viewingroom
- Keep website & App updated at all times
- Coordination with designers
- Work with designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
- Ensure consistency of visuals, voice, values, and messaging across all ouractivities
- Partnerships
- Renew and create partnerships with media, institutions,etc with the Marketing and Communications Manager
- Define partnerships benefits & follow up on counterbenefits
- PR
- Coordinate press release production with PR agency
- Temporary fair staff coordination
- Reach out to candidates and organise interviews and briefings
- Oversee freelance staff such as videographer and photographer
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years working within a similar role
- Eligible to work in the UK
- English must be fluent; notions of French appreciated
- Experience of website building and maintenance
- Experience using online database software such as Artlogic
- Experience with Microsoft Office and notions of InDesign
- Experience managing social medias
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and diplomatic skills
- Proven ability to work under own initiative and tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills
- Interest and/or knowledge of Contemporary African Art / Contemporary Art
