Philanthropy plays a significant role in the life of the Academy and supports our mission to develop and educate the musicians of tomorrow. The Royal Academy of Music's Future campaign was launched in 2022 with a target of £60m, making it the most ambitious campaign for a conservatoire outside the US. Having successfully raised over £73 million, we have now extended the target to £100 million.

Completed applications must be received by 23.59pm on Monday 25 November 2024.

Initial interviews are expected to take place via MS Teams on Wednesday 4 December 2024.

Second interviews will take place on Wednesday 11 December 2024 at the Royal Academy of Music.

The Academy accepts applications from non-UK citizens who have the right to work in the UK. Please note that the Academy is unable to provide a certificate of sponsorship for this role, as this role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker visa.

Enquiries or applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.

The Academy is committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all students.

The Academy values diversity and welcomes your application.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, and candidates with disabilities because we would like to increase the representation of these groups in these roles. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to greater results for students.

Job Requirements

Ideally you will have previous experience of processing gifts and donations in the charitable sector, along with an understanding and interest in fundraising trends. You will have excellent written communications skills and have proficiency in database management (preferably Raiser's Edge NXT and classic view), MS Word and Excel. Experience working in a philanthropy team in the arts or higher education, especially during a fundraising campaign, would also be an advantage. A commitment to the Academy's mission is essential.

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the Advancement team. You will provide efficient administrative support to include gift processing, financial administration, legacy administration and financial reporting, using the fundraising database. This role is crucial to help underpin the Academy's work towards agreed priorities for fundraising.
