Freelance position, 22 hours (3 days), fixed term until end March 2024 Equivalent to £25k p.a. or £110 per day The post will be based on site at Gallery Oldham / Oldham Library with provision to also work from home as appropriate. This includes processing bookings with schools, contacting freelance artists and educators, and processing invoices and purchase orders To meet and greet schools visiting Gallery Oldham/Oldham Library in person or virtually and assist with signing in procedures (school visits are predominantly Mondays and Tuesdays) To collate school visitor figures and evaluation data To create leaflets, posters, web pages and social media posts to market the service to schools To assist with the design of school resources and sessions To support the delivery of school sessions as required To assist the team in keeping the education suite and school loans boxes in good order The ideal postholder would have The ability to evidence high level organisational skills including the prioritisation of tasks and a methodological approach. Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision Effective communication skills (written, verbal, ICT and interpersonal skills) Experience of assisting with school groups in a museum or classroom setting Awareness of health and safety matters affecting both staff and the public using the Gallery, museum buildings and stores.
