£37,210 - £41,479 per annum

The HR department at the British Museum is evolving. We recently introduced a new structure to enable us to support the leadership and management teams of the British Museum and British Museum Company Ltd with high quality strategic and operational HR advice.
Our Employee Engagement Manager will lead on all matters relating to employee engagement, including managing and developing the ways that we engage and communicate with our employees and their representatives (trade unions). Supporting the design, development and delivery of the Employee Engagement elements of our HR Strategy and developing mechanisms for measuring and analysing levels of employee engagement are also key elements of the role.
You will have previous experience in an HR role, specifically managing the development and delivery of successful employee engagement programmes and initiatives. You will also need to bring experience of working with trade unions or employee representative groups to the role. An ability to balance conflicting demands and priorities is essential as is proven experience of managing and resolving complex problems across a wide range of disciplines. To succeed in this role you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate an ability to relate appropriately to all colleagues and stakeholders
