We are looking to welcome experienced, committed, and enthusiastic Events Officer to our expanding Events and Festivals Team. Be part of a team that delivers an extensive all round event service. Play a key role in delivering our annual series of events and festivals to working alongside commercial and community event organiser to support them to deliver safe and vibrant events across Medway. This role is varied and offers great scope for professional development. The Events Team sits inside the Culture Service alongside the Arts, Libraries, Theatres and Corn Exchange Teams, as well as working closely with colleagues from other council departments including Regeneration, Youth, Public Health, Heritage, and Tourism. Be responsible for the planning, development, and production (end to end) for a number of Festivals and Events within Medway Councils event programme. - including programming, contracting of performers, infrastructure- the writing of specs and contracts. Procurement where necessary. Writing of EMP's, Creating site plans, and staffing plans. Writing and delivering event briefings - for the larger events this will be done as a Team, with each of us supporting one another.
