We are a vibrant arts centre, theatre and cinema in the town of Alnwick and now firmly established as one of the leading small venues in Northumberland.

Due to continued success, we are looking to recruit a Finance Officer to manage and contribute to the overall financial operation of Alnwick District Playhouse Trust (ADPT).

Interviews will be held at Alnwick Playhouse on Monday 18th July 2022.

The Ideal Candidate will:

Essential

  • Be qualified through the Association of Accounting Technicians or similar.
  • Have significant experience in all book-keeping tasks
  • Have experience in Budgeting and Management Accounting
  • Be competent in the use of Office 365 Excel and Word, and accounting software (ADPT currently uses Xero accounting software and Sage Cloud Payroll)
  • Be able to balance the strategic with the day to day financial management of ADPT and prioritise accordingly

Desirable

  • Have experience in a similar role
  • Have a working knowledge of Charity Accounting
  • Have knowledge of the U.K. Arts Industry
  • Have knowledge of the Charity Sector
  • Be aware of Cultural Exemption for VAT purposes
