Experienced fundraiser required to join a small Wiltshire music charity on a part-time basis.

£15 per hour
20 hours per month

We are seeking a motivated and flexible Fundraiser to join our small and passionate team.

Working as part of a small dedicated team within WRM, the position is mainly home based, but an amount of flexibility will be required as and when meetings arise in our Trowbridge hub, or out in the community.

As the Fundraiser you will investigate and generate income and support to both ongoing projects, bursaries and core needs of the business, plus generate funding for schools work and village hall events through grant applications. You will ensure that WRM has taken every opportunity to engage with a diverse group of funders at all levels, and where possible create and build partnerships with other organisations. Managing and updating a database of donor contacts and their preferences is essential, as is working alongside the Creative Director exploring where financial support is available and how this could impact on both new and existing projects.

The contract will be reviewed after 3 months, with the option to extend it for a further 9 months.

Job Requirements

Good knowledge of grant applications specifically for schools and village halls.

Passion for music and the arts in vulnerable communities.

Keen to network and get our name out there amongst potential funders.

Ideally background in arts and not-for-profit organisations funding application processes.

Excellent communication skills

Self motivated

Adherence to WRM's charitable aims and objectives

Willing to work as part of a small, dedicated team Access to own vehicle for travel

Ability to work productively with the Creative Director

Job Responsibilities

Speaking to local authorities

Attending events to scout out potential funders

Help to build WRM's 3-5 year fundraising strategy to increase income.

Help to engage a 'team' of volunteers to carry out various functions within the charity.

Create, manage and update a database to record donor contact and preferences.

Work alongside our Creative Director

Report to the Board of Trustees on a regular basis.
