Base of work: Work from home with regular virtual meetings with project leads Patricia Cumper and Pauline Walker
Fee: Flat fee of £5,000 (25 days @ £200p/d)
Start date:  28th June 2021
Duration of project: June 2021 – January 2022
Interviews:  During week commencing 21st June (via Zoom) 

We’re looking for a Freelance Marketer with experience in marketing podcasts to join our team and lead on the marketing for The Amplify Project, a new series of podcasts featuring Black British writers – poetry, fiction and drama.  The key responsibilities are to:

  • Manage the soft launch for the website
  • Develop The Amplify Project messaging and create brand assets for a social media teaser campaign
  • Finalize the email list for e-newsletter
  • Set up social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and customize content for each platform
  • Mange the relationship with our marketing partners who are already in place and establish cross promotions
  • Create show notes/links
  • Set targets to monitor the project and report back in regular meetings and for the final evaluation report to our funders Arts Council England
  • Create a data analytics spreadsheet to monitor website stats, social media insights and podcast insights. Populate monthly and review and revise strategy
  • Send out press release to key arts media (profile pieces)
  • Leverage the cultural capital of podcast guests to promote the podcasts
  • Work with our Publicist on the launch
  • Upload podcasts to the website and podcasting directories with accompanying profiles, show notes, transcripts and images (Wordpress CMS)
  • Re-purpose episode content and publish across socials
  • Online advertising on podcast apps, google adwords, Facebook and Instagram
