Front of House Manager - Sales & Audience Experience, Corn Exchange, Newbury


The Corn Exchange Trust manages three key spaces; the Corn Exchange which includes a 400 seat auditorium, a 40 seat independent cinema and a thriving cafe & bar; 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space for the development of large-scale outdoor performances and residencies; and Learning Centre from which we run a flourishing participation programme 'Get Involved', as involving local people and enabling them to be engaged with our creative activities lies at the heart of what we do. We also operate The Base, a dedicated visual arts and crafts space.

We are looking for someone who will thrive on running a busy front of house, creating a first-class audience experience and loves working with the public. Ideally you will be a self-motivated ‘Arts Manager’ with at least 2 years’ experience of managing a team. You will be comfortable overseeing the Box Office functions and maximising the Spektrix ticketing system. You will display a passion for excellent customer service, with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to identify areas that need improving to encourage revenue growth. You will be a great people person able to lead, motivate and develop your team, managing the effective running of the department. The successful applicant will be a visible member of the Trust’s management team and lead by example in embodying the organisation’s core values.

You will be working closely with the Front of House Manager responsible for Sales and Trading.
