Front of House Manager - Sales & Trading, Corn Exchange, Newbury

The Corn Exchange Trust manages three key spaces; the Corn Exchange which includes a 400 seat auditorium, a 40 seat independent cinema and a thriving cafe & bar; 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space for the development of large-scale outdoor performances and residencies; and Learning Centre from which we run a flourishing participation programme 'Get Involved', as involving local people and enabling them to be engaged with our creative activities lies at the heart of what we do. We also operate The Base, a dedicated visual arts and crafts space.

We are looking for someone who will thrive on developing our hospitality activity and transforming our café and bar into a distinct and exciting food and drink destination. You will ideally have had experience in managing bar and restaurant type venues and display a passion for excellent customer focussed service. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify areas that need improving to encourage revenue growth and be comfortable with overseeing the growth of our trading activity to include commercial and private hires and other initiatives. You will be a great people person able to lead and motivate your team and work collaboratively with other departments. The successful applicant will be a visible member of the Trust’s management team and lead by example in embodying the organisation’s core values.

You will be working closely with the Front of House Manager responsible for Sales and Audience Experience.
