The Horniman Museum and Gardens is a unique attraction in south east London where world cultures and the natural world are brought together for everyone to enjoy. The Museum holds internationally important collections of anthropology and musical instruments, as well as a popular natural history gallery and Aquarium. The 16 acres of beautiful Gardens feature a tropical Butterfly House and offer stunning views across London. The Horniman is the holder of the prestigious Art Fund Museum of the Year 2022. We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to join our high-achieving fundraising team as a maternity cover post (up to 12 months). We are looking to recruit a fundraiser with the skills, experience and motivation to play a vital role in generating income for the Horniman. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and senior management team you will principally be responsible for working on trust fundraising including prospect research, cultivation, application drafting, reporting and stewardship. You will deliver against ambitious targets in order to support the care of our wonderful collections, Gardens and public programme and to help deliver our exciting Nature + Love capital project.
