Compton Verney has an exciting opportunity within its Fundraising and Advocacy team, working with friendly colleagues to increase charitable income, host events and run our popular Benefactor’s scheme. HOURS: 22.5 hours (3 days/week)

SALARY: £12,729.60

An exciting opportunity to work within the fundraising function, helping to raise vital charitable income that supports all aspects of Compton Verney. Working with the Director of Fundraising & Advocacy and the Fundraising, Grants & Advocacy Manager, to maximise Compton Verney’s income from fundraising and helping to engage donors, members of the Benefactors scheme and other VIPs.
Managing the gift, grant and Benefactors administration and tracking process. Helping to organise and run donor and Benefactor events and stewardship.

Key Responsibilities 

Advocacy and Support - Donors, Benefactors and VIP’s 

• Co-ordination and day-to-day running of the Benefactors Scheme working with Fundraising, Grants & Advocacy Manager
• Responsible for the gift and Benefactor administration, financial reconciliation and donor/Benefactor recognition process
• Helping provide up-to-date copy for websites and other publications in relation to fundraising and advocacy activity; ensuring the CV brand and visual identity are consistent

Advocacy and Support – Trusts, Foundations, Public Funding, Corporate Sponsorship 

• Ensure that the relationships are supported in terms of trusts, foundations and public funding bodies, supporting the Director of Fundraising & Advocacy in relation to acknowledgements, events and meetings.
• Support the CEO and Director of Fundraising & Advocacy in ensuring that the deadlines and criteria of Compton Verney’s NPO status are met in timely fashion.
• Ability to draft reports for funders, to support the overall reporting against successful bids, drawing together information and statistics.
• Working with fundraising colleagues on increasing income through Corporate Sponsorship.
