IDSA is a multicultural and vibrant acting school, which provides ongoing training of the highest quality whilst also preparing actors from all backgrounds for the reality of becoming a working actor. We welcome students of all levels, from beginners to professional actors.
The Head of Acting oversees and manages all teaching and learning at IDSA, working closely with the Principal and Head of Operations to maintain and develop the school’s reputation of excellence in actor training, and monitors the teaching and welfare of a large and diverse student body.
You will have experience as a Vice Principal or Head of Department and have experience working in a strategic capacity at a performance-based educational establishment or creative enterprise. Ideally you will also be an experienced director in either screen or stage with a proven body of work, and an accomplished acting tutor with experience in a reputable institution.
We particularly welcome applications from BAME and under-represented backgrounds.

IDSA was founded in 2003 by Femi Oguns MBE. The School was formed in response to the need for an establishment that reflects and caters for actors coming from a multicultural society.
Since its opening, IDSA has received an overwhelming interest from industry professionals, including casting directors and major film production companies and has become a first point of call for directors seeking talented actors.
