As a Disabled Woman I have worked extensively in the British contemporary dance and physical theatre scene. Working as a performer, filmmaker, teacher, and consultant I have developed a reputation for depth, intelligence and physical courage in my work.
I am internationally renowned disabled movement artist since leaving university and have developed an artistic career which has led to working with companies such as Candoco Dance Company, Graeae Theatre Company and Jess Curtis/Gravity Theatre. As well as developing my own work in collaboration with other artists, including a short dance for camera film directed by Charlotte Derbyshire and screened on Channel 4 as part of their 3 Minute Wonder Series.
As you can probably tell, I am a very active disabled women and my son is now growing into a young person/teenager. We have 3 dogs and a busy household. I enjoy healthy whole foods and I'm in the process of developing a new business 'Impaired, Don't Care'.
I need a new Assistant to become part of my team of PAs to work alongside me to develop the business. There will be a few different elements to 'Impaired Don't Care' however the foundation is based on promoting equity and diversity with a focus on the rights of disabled people/artists.
The skills I'm looking for are:
IT (using Apple devices)
Budgeting, Spreadsheets, Finance, Payroll
Website development or able to use guildance to build a site.
Ability to thinking outside the box
Interest in Health, Arts, Enviroment
As the tasks can vary enormously depending on the assistance I need at the time, it is difficult to give a comprehensive list of the jobs that might be required of a P.A. However, some might include providing personal and domestic assistance as well.
