Horizon Marketing & Comms Manager, Battersea Arts Centre

HORIZON (England’s performing arts showcase at Edinburgh Festivals 2022 & 2023) is looking for a highly effective marketing professional, with excellent organisational and communication skills. Working with the Horizon Programme Director, the role will encompass all aspects of marketing and comms for the showcase, including brand management, press, tickets sales and stakeholder management (with a focus on international delegates).

Horizon is led by a consortium of six nationally significant venues and festivals: Battersea Arts Centre (BAC); Dance4; Fierce; GIFT; MAYK; and Transform. The 2021 pilot showcase included streamed live theatre, dance and live art performances, digital works and other events for a global audience, with international delegates supported to engage virtually with the performances. For 2022 & 2023, the showcase will primarily involve live performance, in Edinburgh, but digital wraparound activities will also form part of the work. Artist Residencies and bursaries are also a feature of the plans.

The role will be contracted by BAC, but you have the option of working remotely, from anywhere in the UK. Travel to consortium organisations across the UK will be required, as well as on site work in Edinburgh during the festivals. The role is offered on a part time basis (21hrs p/w).
