This entry-level role manages the movement of artworks, focusing on inventory tracking, condition reporting, and coordinating international shipments. Key tasks include liaising with shippers and customs, organising post-sale exports, and accurately updating the gallery’s database.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Main Focus


1. Inventory Control and Logistics: Assisting on the organization and execution of all international logistics (including insurance,
packing, customs, transportation, storage, installation, and dismantling) relating to consignments, loans, sales, art fairs, and
gallery exhibitions.
2. Exhibitions and Art Fairs: Assistant the registrar team in shipping, installation, scheduling, maintenance, and dismantling for all art fairs, gallery exhibitions, private viewings, and other special projects as required
3. Facilities and Vendor Management: Assist in the maintenance of gallery premises and mechanicals, including control of
associated suppliers, vendors, and contracts.
4. Logistics: Packing, shipping and mounting of the gallery shows in respect of the established planning.
5. Post-sale: Take the lead on post-sale/ client facing shipments liaising with sales directors, shippers and clients to provide the
safest export shipments for the artwork.

Job Requirements

The candidate will need to have excellent organisation skills, work well under pressure, have strong communication skills. Any previous experience as an art technician or working with galleries, auction houses and art shippers would be preferable.

Ability to travel nationally and internationally for art fairs. The role is a part-time role working 3 days/week - 24 hrs/week.
