Job Summary

LFA is looking to expand its pool of freelance Kit Room Assistants to support the daily running of the equipment office.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the setup and pack down of filmmaking equipment for technical classes.
  • Participate in equipment bookings, checking kit thoroughly and reporting any missing items or damages.
  • Provide technical assistance to students and staff members as required, maintaining a courteous and professional manner according to LFA practices.
  • Assist with the upkeep of studios and teaching spaces, ensuring spaces are kept safe, tidy and clean.
  • Support with the repair and maintenance of equipment to best of ability and perform stock checks and organizational tasks as required.
  • Ensure equipment is packed away safely and stored securely according to LFA practices.
  • Support the Senior Technical Coordinator with research into potential improvements to procedure and equipment.

Essential

  • Experience of equipment-handling and a proven commitment to kit care.
  • Good knowledge of latest camera technologies, with clear interest in sector.
  • Awareness of lighting equipment and advances in technology in that area.
  • Knowledge of sound equipment.
  • Commitment to Health & Safety, with experience of completing risk assessments.
