Job Description
The creative project, currently called Wicken 125, will be shaped in response to consultation and
delivered as part of a wider programme of events celebrating 125 years since the National Trust acquired its first two acres of nature reserve at Wicken Fen. We envisage that Wicken 125 will comprise a range of art forms and initiatives, which may include multi-sensory installations, sculpture, soundscapes, photography or outdoor theatre accessed on site, online or through outreach.
Wicken Fen is a National Trust Children and Young People (CYP) Hub, whose goals the project will support through schools and community engagement, and family programming. Our shared aim for the project is that everyone in East Cambridgeshire and Fenland should be able to join in the cultural life of this community and have access to their natural
environment.
The artist(s) will produce a full write-up of the findings from these workshops in a format agreed with Babylon ARTS and Wicken Fen. The R&D outputs will provide a central element in the development of plans for the Wicken 125 project in 2024/25.
