Performing Arts Teacher Required (Singing, Dancing & Acting), Breakout Performing Arts


A singing, dancing and acting teacher is required to teach the students at Breakout Performing Arts on Saturday mornings, starting Saturday 24th April. 

Delivering a 1.5 hour class.
9.00/9.30am – 10.30am/11.00am (exact start time depends on if our numbers require us to have a staggered start due to COVID). Looking to increase to 3 hours post-COVID. Expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before lesson starts and to dismiss all students before leaving.

Salary: £48 for the 1.5 hour session PLUS end-of-term bonuses.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and deliver exciting lessons.
  • Teach children, from 3 to 5 years old, how to sing, dance and act.
  • Work and communicate with the other teachers/assistants, when necessary, to create strong performances.

Qualifications and Skills

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of professional performing arts training or performing in their teaching subject - as well as experience in teaching children and young people. A degree relating to your teaching subject is essential and a post-graduate degree is also desirable. 
  • A DBS check is required upon application (desirable on the Update Service). Breakout will provide a new, enhanced DBS check if the applicant is not on the Update Service. 
  • Skills in all aspects of performing arts (singing, dancing and acting) are essential.
