We are looking for a dynamic musician to join our team teaching class curriculum music in London Primary schools. Our curriculum offering is growing and we are looking to grow our team of teachers to keep up with demand and grow our list of deputies. Candidates may be asked to deliver an observed
Responsibilities:
- Weekly class music sessions from Nursery (30 minutes) to Year 6 (45 minutes).
- Holding Singing Assemblies with the whole school.
- Rehearsing the school orchestra and the school choir
- Working with the school to amalgamate the music curriculum with the cross curriculum used throughout the school.
- Running and managing termly school concerts
- Representing Pelican Music within the school
- Attending CPD sessions
- Learning and delivering the Pelican Music curriculum
Requirements:
- Undergraduate Music Degree
- Keyboard Skills (must be strong)
- Experience working with children
- Prior whole group teaching experience
- A current enhanced DBS

- Previous Classroom experience.
- Experience leading ensembles
Training
As part of our hiring process successful candidates will be required to attend training sessions in classroom management and curriculum delivery.
You will also be subject to a 2 terms probationary period during which you will be observed by a member of the team and provided with feedback. This is designed to help support and improve your teaching within our Primary Schools.
