Job Title: Project Manager Project Duration: 1 year Term: Fixed Term, 12 months Start Date: November 2023 Salary: £31, 000 per annum Hours of work: 37.5 hrs/week, including some time in the evenings or weekends as the project demands. Location: Milton Keynes Museum (with some possibility of hybrid working) a. Essential Previous project management experience (min. 2 years) Experience of work in arts or heritage projects Experience of meeting targets according to an agreed timetable, budget and quality Team management experience Good organisational skills Evidence of ability to write reports Good communication skills Proven administrative skills Proficient in Microsoft packages and basic IT skills a strong commitment to the principles and practice of equality and diversity b. Desirable An interest in arts or heritage Experience of working within the community Understanding of the challenges of building and managing a team with different backgrounds and their own agendas Exhibition production skills e.g. text-writing, design, illustration preferably within the To Lead the Project Team helping to ensure that it meets the targets laid out in the project plan; Manage the Outreach Officer on a day-to-day basis; Manage the budget, contingency and spend plan. Ensure over-runs are flagged early, that remedial plans are in place and understood by stakeholders; Report to regular meetings of the Management and Project Teams, engage with the project stakeholders regularly and effectively; Work with the Partner organisations to produce a seamless and coordinated single project Assist in identifying and working with other arts and heritage practitioners as well as our volunteers to assist in developing and delivering programmes. Ensure participation of different communities in the engagement activities and consultation for the prototype exhibitions defined in the NHLF grant application.
