Strawberry Hill House & Garden seeks a Project Programme Manager to lead delivery of its National Lottery Heritage Fund Resilience Grant programme.

Job Description

The Project Programme Manager will head the delivery of Strawberry Hill House & Garden's National Lottery Heritage Fund Resilience Grant. Working closely with the Executive Director, the role will focus on day-today management of all project activities, co-ordinating between all consultants, maintaining records, being responsible for reporting requirements, and ensuring that the project remains on track within the agreed scope, budget, and timetable.
The postholder will help embed learning from the project into the organisation to strengthen long-term resilience, sustainability, and capacity.

Job Requirements

Demonstrable experience managing projects or programmes within the heritage, arts or charity sector.
Strong organisational, project management and stakeholder management skills.
Experience managing consultants, contractors and external partners.
Experience of reporting, monitoring, budgeting, forecasting and risk management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and project management software.
PRINCE2 qualification or equivalent project management experience.
Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of delivering complex programmes involving multiple workstreams.
Experience of heritage or cultural projects and working across different sectors and stakeholders.
Experience of National Lottery Heritage Fund projects is desirable.
Understanding of conservation principles and heritage management is desirable.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day delivery of Strawberry Hill House & Garden's National Lottery Heritage Fund Resilience Grant programme.
Coordinate consultants, contractors, staff and trustees to ensure successful project delivery.
Maintain project plans, work programmes, risk registers and project management systems.
Ensure compliance with National Lottery Heritage Fund requirements, including reporting and grant drawdowns.
Procure and manage consultants, including tendering and contract administration.
Monitor project progress, maintain documentation and prepare reports for funders and stakeholders.
Manage project budgets, cashflow forecasts, expenditure tracking and invoice approval.
Support evaluation activities and contribute to organisational learning and resilience planning.
Maintain project records and prepare payroll information for Student Heritage trainees.
Act as a key point of contact for project-related enquiries and communications.
