Arts Council England is looking for a collaborative and dedicated Relationship Manager, Visual Arts to join our team

Job Description

The Arts Council invests in a broad range of visual arts organisations in the Midlands who collectively provide numerous opportunities for participation in our cities, towns and rural communities. The successful candidate will support the delivery of our strategy Let's Create as part of our commitment to a country transformed by culture.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and expertise to work primarily in the Midlands. The relationship manager should ensure that we can effectively and credibly advise and support artists and organisations and should be someone passionate about broadening engagement in the arts and culture.

If you were currently doing this job, here are some of the areas you would have been working on in this week:

  • Managing a portfolio of funded organisations from across the Midlands
  • Advising on and assessing funding applications from individuals and organisations within and beyond the visual arts sector
  • Contributing to Area cultural placemaking work

To apply, you will need in-depth knowledge in visual arts practice and its relationship to the Midlands arts and culture sector. You'll also need:

  • An ability to support the development of the visual arts sector in the Midlands
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work well across the sector and within Arts Council across various teams.
  • Knowledge of business planning, financial reporting and cultural placemaking

In return for your passion, collaborative approach and commitment, you'll receive a generous salary of £35,225 p/a and a benefits package, joining a friendly and inclusive culture.
