Retail Manager, Leeds Museums & Galleries

The position is responsible for the efficient management and development of retail operations across all of Leeds Museums and Galleries shops and channels maximising revenue and profitability, as well as improving the visitor experience.

This role will lead on product development and buying, ensuring we have inspiring products that reflect our venues as well as offer good profitability. The right candidate will understand how to forecast, set targets and analyse sales data to make informed decisions and help us refine our retail operations.

About you

As Retail Manager, you will bring to the role:

• Experience of developing buying plans and pricing strategies
• Product and range development skills
• Experience of monitoring financial performance; defining margins, setting targets, forecasting and analysing sales data
• Experience of managing EPOS systems and ecommerce streams
• Knowledge of stock control and procedures for retail operations

About the role

As Retail Manager you'll play a pivotal part in working to the service's strategy, supplying expertise in how to capitalise on revenue streams. Working across Leeds Museums & Galleries' seven retail outlets, you'll lead a team to ensure that retail embedded in the visitor journey as well as providing a reliable income stream.
