£21,900 per annum pro rated to the full time equivalent of £36,500 per annum

Subject to the future needs of the Gallery, after 22 months there may be the option to increase this role to 28 hours (4 days) per week, or for the post to be made permanent
The Gallery is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join as a Senior Archive and Library Manager. The post holder will have overall management responsibility for the Archive and Library team, its public services and the Archive and Library collections. They will lead the Archive Accreditation process, as well as review how we continue to build the profile of the archive and library as an outstanding resource for research.
The successful applicant will need to have a post-graduate qualification in Archives or Libraries or have significant experience of working in an Archive or Library, ideally in a museum or heritage organisation or similar environment. The post holder will need to have strong project management skills, with the ability to deal with a number of projects simultaneously to strict deadlines. They will also need to have the ability to work alongside other departments, such as the Development team, to explore fund-raising and income generating opportunities.
To be considered for this position, you will need to have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal efficiently and diplomatically with complex tasks and enquiries from a range of staff at all levels within the organisation as well as external stakeholders. The role is busy and varied so it is important that the postholder has excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads independently, whilst ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
