Our planet is facing twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss. At HRP, we are keenly aware of our impact on the climate crisis and the need for urgent action to mitigate it. We are therefore committed to working towards net zero in carbon emissions by 2050 and are looking to expand our Sustainability team to help us achieve this.

The new role of Senior Project Manager, Decarbonisation, reporting to the Sustainability Programme Manager and working with our Energy Futures Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, developing and project managing a portfolio of HRP's decarbonisation projects (across all HRP sites) from inception to completion; managing both the client and supply side of projects; keeping on budget, to programme and to HRP quality standards, all which support the delivery of our Sustainability Action Plan.

You will also help to identify maintenance and improvement needs through periodic surveys and to help formulate programmes of work, as well as providing surveying and construction advice and support to HRP staff and project teams. In time you will be expected to explain HRP's conservation activities and expertise.

This role may also include supervision of Apprentice Project Managers as our scheme expands.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in a construction discipline and will have significant experience in project management, handling budgets and, can demonstrate leadership of multi-site and multi-disciplinary construction projects which include conservation, and major developments. Being able to manage strategically led projects and their alignment with organisational goals is essential. Prior experience with sustainable building certifications, decarbonisation, or M&E projects, as well as knowledge and expertise across construction sustainability, including whole life carbon is desirable.

Pay range: PR4.2 £61,538.40 per annum, including market rate supplement
