Steel Pans Teacher, Kilmorie Primary School


Required from September 2021, Mondays, 3.5 hours per week, 10 weeks per term:

1.15 – 3.30pm: 2 x 1 hour Y5 classes, 15 children at a time

3.30 – 4.45pm Ensemble – Y4 – 6.  Max 15 children.

You have:

  • At least one year’s experience teaching in a primary school setting
  • A music teaching qualification and/or a track record of CPD
  • Excellent reliability, organisational skills and timekeeping
  • Experience of organising and leading public performances
  • Excellent communication and admin skills
  • The ability and desire to inspire and enthuse children
  • The ability to differentiate for, challenge and support a mixed ability group
  • Knowledge of educational theories and learning styles
  • An excellent understanding of group dynamics and well-honed behaviour-management techniques

£35 per hour (£122.50 per week) paid monthly by BACs on a PAYE claim basis.
