Support Programme Manager, Doc Society


Doc Society supports independent documentary filmmakers globally, helping them to produce transformational documentary films. In the UK Doc Society manages the BFI Doc Society Fund, the country’s flagship fund for feature documentaries.

We are seeking a super organised Support Programme Manager (maternity leave cover) to oversee the BFI Doc Society Fund’s Support Programme strategy, delivery and budgets. 

The right person will be knowledgeable about the UK independent film sector and be motivated to help build the UK documentary filmmaking community with a firm focus on equity, inclusion and talent development. The role oversees the smooth running of all the processes involved in administering the BFI Doc Society Fund from the application system through to filmmaker enquiries, reporting and external communications.

Main Purpose of the Position:

To have the overview of the BFI Doc Society Fund’s work and to ensure its efficiency. To support British non-fiction filmmakers and their work with a focus on equity and inclusion and talent development.
