Change, Act! have two paid opportunities at London Living Wage to support their Legislative Theatre Project for Adults with Long Term Health Conditions and Disabilities which will be taking place in Islington from February to April. The roles are most suited to somebody who is looking to gain experience working in a Theatre, Access or Hospitality role or just looking for an opportunity to challenge themselves or boost their confidence. You do not need any experience. We want these opportunities to be fully accessible and can cater the duties to any access or health requirements. There may be an opportunity to work with Change, Act! again at a later date and we are happy to write you a short reference where this may be helpful. These roles are taken on a self-employed basis, we will pay you via invoice: You will need to be responsible for declaring your income. We are happy to give you advice around this. Due to the nature of the project we particularly encourage adults with Long-Term Health Conditions or who consider themselves disabled to apply Opportunity 1 Open Day and Co-Creation Session Assistant Tuesday 14th February 2023 12:30pm-4:30pm Deadline Wednesday 8th February 2023 Opportunity 2 Legislative Theatre Performance Day Assistant Tuesday 11th April 2023 12:30pm-4:30pm Deadline Monday 13th March 2023 Opportunity 1 Duties: -Helping to get the space ready for the sessions -Welcoming people, helping them to sign in and ensuring photo consent forms are completed and that those who do not wish to be photographed have stickers -Taking photos and short videos during the workshop -Enabling people to take part in activities where needed -Helping to set up and serve refreshments -Ensuring evaluation and feedback forms are completed at the end of the session Opportunity 2 Duties -Helping to prepare the space and helping the performers to prepare for the play including helping with costumes and setting up props -Helping to welcome in and usher the audience -Taking photos -Being on hand to answer questions from audience and assisting people with directions to conveniences etc if needed -Helping to pack down/clear up at the end of the play Please provide a short written paragraph or maximum 2 minute video explaining why you are interested and why you think you are the right person for the role.
