Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the British Museum for a Training, Development and Communications Advisor who can proactively support staff development. This role is ideal for those who want to develop a career in Training and Development.

Job Requirements

For this role you should have demonstrable experience of delivering training and have been involved in designing initiatives (classroom and digital events). Experience of working with and maintaining a Learning Management System is essential; as is experience of putting together training reports.

You should be educated to A-level, or equivalent standard, and will have obtained or be working towards a Certificate in Training Practice.

As an excellent communicator, you will be able to establish strong working relationships whilst demonstrating effective assertiveness and influencing skills. The ability to manage a varied and busy workload; together with responding to questions within your area of expertise, is essential.

In this post you will design, deliver, promote, and provide support for a range of development initiatives; from structured training programmes to self-study materials and 1-1 interventions that reflect the requirements of the Museum's diverse workforce.

Reporting to the Head of Training, Development and Wellbeing you will need to effectively record data and use this to produce accurate and timely reports in relation to training and development.
