Job Summary

Woolwich Works are looking for a Venue Technical Apprentice to support the Technical Department whilst working towards a Creative Venue Technician Level 3 qualification. You must be a resident of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Job Description

You will study for a Creative Venue Technician Level 3 with the National College of Creative Industries.

You will build your knowledge in all technical areas including lighting, sound, audio / visual, event set up and facilities, and you will learn about venue health & safety management and technical safety.

You will work 40 hours per week, this will be on a flexible rota including evenings and weekends.

You will also be allocated time to study and meet with your tutor within the week.

Job Requirements

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS?

You must be 18 years or older

You must have achieved Maths and English at Level 2, if you haven't this must be achieved ahead of your end - point assessment and we can support this.

You must be permitted to work in the UK

You must be a resident in the Royal Borough of Greenwich

You must be able to work evenings and weekends as and when required

An interest in working in the performing arts and events industry

An interest in technical elements such as lighting, sound, audio visual and staging

An enthusiastic and motivated person willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges
