Dry Mounter / Finisher – Fine Art & Photography, theprintspace

Description

At theprintspace, we’re the world leaders in fine art and photographic printing, with studios in London, Düsseldorf, and New York. For nearly two decades, we’ve worked with some of the biggest artists and institutions in the world, combining craftsmanship with cutting edge technology.

We are more than just a printer; we are an innovator and a marketing agency dedicated to helping artists build global careers. We’re now looking for a dry mounter to join our London studio, specialising in advanced finishing techniques.

In this role, you aren’t just preparing substrates, you are a vital partner in an artist’s success, ensuring their vision is translated into a museum ready reality. This is a hands-on role where every detail matters. You’ll be finishing artworks to gallery and museum standards, ensuring each piece that leaves our studio lives up to theprintspace’s reputation for excellence.

As a carbon-neutral business, we ensure that your craft and passion for art don’t come at the cost of the planet. This is not a warehouse job; it’s a role where your skill, precision, and ability to work with both tools and technology will make a real impact on the future of the art world.

What you’ll be doing
  • Carrying out specialist print finishing processes
    • Archival mounting to substrates (Dibond, Aluminium, Foamex, MDF, acrylic)
    • Advanced mounting including Diasec and acrylic reverse mounting.
    • Using a CNC cutter to prepare and finish materials.
  • Working with production and workflow software to track jobs, deadlines and SLAs.
  • Collaborating closely with printing, framing and dispatch teams to keep work flowing smoothly
  • Maintaining mounting equipment and ensuring materials are handled, stored and used correctly
  • Supporting quality control standards that reflect gallery and museum expectations
What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience in dry mounting and fine art print finishing
  • Some experience in CNC cutting would be beneficial
  • A calm, methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail
  • Confidence working with specialist equipment and archival materials
  • Comfortable using digital systems to log work and manage workflows
  • Someone who takes responsibility for quality and consistency, every time
Why join theprintspace
  • Work with exceptional artists and images every single day
  • Be part of a studio where craftsmanship is genuinely valued
  • Develop advanced finishing skills
  • Join a collaborative, experienced team that takes pride in its output
