We are based in Chelmsford, Essex, just ~35 minutes on the train from London Liverpool Street, and a further 5-10 minute walk from the station. Our students are aged 7-19 and are bright, enthusiastic, and keen to progress. Among our student body are multiple national competition finalists and winners, performers with West End experience, and scholars at their respective day schools. High expectations are set for students, and consequently we love working with ambitious teachers who have excellent, contemporaneous knowledge of the musical theatre industry, repertoire, and vocal technique, and who are committed to pushing students to achieve more than the "ordinary". Dates and times of engagement are Saturdays during school term-time, from January 2027, starting at 1.00pm. While we have not yet confirmed student numbers for the term, we would expect an absolute minimum of 2 hours teaching (far more likely to be 2.5 or 3) to be confirmed by mid-December 2026. This position is paid, at £30.00 per hour. Essential qualities: Desirable qualities: Piano-playing is an excellent quality, but not essential. We have worked with excellent MD/pianist singing teachers as well as excellent singing teachers who are pure vocalists and performers themselves. Additional specialism in acting is of interest, as it would provide scheduling flexibility, but very much not essential. Planning & delivering 1-to-1 singing lessons, which may include selecting repertoire and coaching for auditions. All timetabling and parent communication is handled by us, to protect your privacy and non-working hours.
