We are looking for an Access Support worker with experience of providing support to senior/director-level staff, with knowledge and understanding of neurodivergent access.

We are looking for an Access Support worker with experience of providing support to senior/director-level staff, with knowledge and understanding of neurodivergent access.

You will work with an Executive Director of a small London-based multi-arts organisation, whose main focus is the delivery of a bi-annual festival.

  • Hours: six per week (with some flexibility to move hours from week to week)
  • Location: remote (in-person working is optional and London-based)
  • Contract: freelance, paid on invoice
  • Rate: £31.20 per hour
  • Start date: 2 June 2025 (with a few paid handover hours in May)
  • Period: initially 2 months to 31 July 2025 (will be extended if Access to Work grant is renewed)

Overview of Executive Director role:

The Executive Director is responsible for the operational, financial and strategic management of the organisation. Working closely with the Artistic Director & CEO to execute the creative vision and business strategy, the ED ensures the organisation is properly resourced to deliver on its vision and objectives and reports to the CEO and Board of trustees.

Overview of Access Support role:

The Access Support worker supports the ED across all areas of their work, provides pastoral encouragement and coaching when needed and aids with embedding access tools and resources.

Job Requirements

We are looking for:

  • experience of providing access support to an individual
  • knowledge and understanding of neurodivergence
  • willingness and ability to be flexible, working across two or three days per week
  • experience of supporting senior staff, such as a director or executive role
  • experience and knowledge of finance, fundraising and operations in a cultural setting would be beneficial.

Job Responsibilities

Regular tasks include:

  • Administration of Access to Work submissions and claims
  • Updating/amending the Access Document
  • Support with governance tasks such as Board minutes and papers
  • Inbox, diary, prioritisation of tasks and forward planning
  • Support with fundraising administration and funder reporting
  • Support with organisational budgets and financial management
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
