About Us: Red Lens delivers part time acting training dedicated to nurturing talent and providing actors with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the entertainment industry. Our 'Actors G.Y.M' classes focus on developing physical and emotional resilience, improvisation skills to build stage and on-camera presence.

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Acting Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stage and/or screen acting, movement, and a proven ability to inspire and guide members of various skill levels.

This role involves planning and delivering engaging classes that challenge members to push their boundaries and enhance their acting capabilities.

General Information

  • This a Freelance position
  • Pay rate is £20 - £25 per hour (to be invoiced and paid monthly)
  • Our Actors G.Y.M working hours are usually delivered in the evenings between 6pm and 10pm during a 12 week term (although the jobholder will be expected, within reason, to work such hours outside these periods as are necessary for the proper planning and fulfilment of the role.)
  • Training will be provided if required

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Acting/Theatre/Performing Arts or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in acting or practitioner training, with at least 1 year of coaching/teaching/directing/workshop facilitation experience or working directly with actors.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of acting techniques, physical conditioning for actors, stage and on-camera performance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification are a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: Energetic, motivational, and able to connect with members from diverse backgrounds. A passion for coaching and a commitment to member success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Class Preparation and Delivery: Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for the G.Y.M classes, incorporating physical exercises, improvisation techniques, and performance skills.
  • Member Engagement: Foster a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages member participation, creativity, and personal growth.
  • Individual Coaching: Provide personalised feedback and guidance to help each member improve their skills and achieve their acting goals.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in acting and industry standards, integrating new methodologies into the class structure.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate attendance records, manage class schedules, and communicate effectively with members and administrative staff.
  • Safety and Well-being: Ensure the physical safety of all members during classes, adhering to all studio policies and procedures.
