Theatre for Life, in collaboration with https://beyond-reflections.org.uk - Beyond Reflections, is seeking four Transgender+ actors to take part in an intergenerational verbatim theatre project that explores real stories, lived experiences, and celebrates Trans+ history and resilience. This project builds on previous work, The Feeling, and centres Trans+ voices through a collaborative, community-led theatre-making process. The production brings together performers from different generations to create dialogue with audiences around identity, health inequalities, care, and community. Roles Available Two Trans actors aged 18-30 Two Trans actors aged 50+ Role Overview Actors will work as part of an ensemble to develop and perform a verbatim theatre piece using real words drawn from interviews, conversations, and historical material. Performers will be involved in rehearsals, workshops, and performances, contributing creatively while handling personal and community stories with care, respect, and integrity. Auditions: 28th February at Theatre Royal Winchester Hours / Fees 32 days @ £185 per day = £5,920 £375 travel and food allowance for touring days Dates Rehearsals: 9 March - 24 August Rehearsals take place every Monday, excluding bank holidays Preview Performances: 29 & 30 August at Mayflower Studios, as part of Pride Southampton Theatre Tour in two professional venues during November, 2026 (Dates TBC) Supported by the National Lottery Fund Application deadline: 17.00 pm on the 6 Feb, 2026 Actors will work as part of an ensemble to develop and perform a verbatim theatre piece using real words drawn from interviews, conversations, and historical material.
